Don't worry, you're not tested on the plotline.
The fourth entry in the series takes events back to before those in the first Gears of War, in the immediate aftermath of Emergence Day, when all hell broke lose on the Earthlike planet of Sera. There were variations along the way but this was largely the bread and butter of it all, and it's something that Judgment stands firmly by. My expectations are different when downloading and playing these games on game pass then if I would have bought it. I hade a few issues with pasing but it's nothing that effect my enjoyment of it There are some negatives: The AI ( com on man revive me, don't just run past me) and a few bugs.well not the enemy type. The only downside is the resolution so it would benefit from really lazy remaster with just som high rez and some love to some of the character models. It's good looking for a unreal 3 game with lot of weather effects that's effect gameplay. Judgement seem to be a 8-9 hour game (max) and that's really a positive thing. It's not the Last of us but it's not bad either. Story wise I kind of enjoy playing as character that appears in Gears 5 (like Baird, Cole and Paduk ). You can choose to play the mission with restraint (time, weapon type etc) to earn more stars (witch I don't really know what to do with, but it's fun). The Locust aren't bullet sponges in the same way and there is a whole lot more verity in enemytypes. The gameplay is much faster and action oriented. But is really fun and a bit different then the usual Gears games. I haven't heard so much about it and I sort of assumed that it would be a lesser game. Gears of war Judgement is a spin off (I'll guess) made by People Can Fly who is a Polish developer. I really enjoyed both gears 5 (and hivebusters) and Judgement. It was actually a whole lot of fun, so to the point that I wanted more and downloaded Gears of war Judgement because why not. Gears 5 is in game pass so I thought "why the hell not" and to my surprise I really enjoyed it. I'm mainly a singel player / story/ adventure game player but I have enjoyed both Halo and Gears in that perspective. For some reason I sort of lost interest in the frenchies after gears of war 3. So a supposed this also could be a gears 5 LTTP thread.
