Click the ^ icon to show all the icons in your Notification area. In the interim, here’s an easy solution to close Skype using the Notification area. Granted, I could sign out from within Skype, but I still couldn’t close the program. I tried doing this step several times and neither of those methods worked. In the past, I would right-click the Skype icon and select Sign Out and then Quit Skype. I rarely keep Skype open because it conflicts with another app I frequently use. It makes it easier for me to find applications to close if needed. One of the new features I like is that the taskbar places a small bar under a taskbar application if it’s running. Not quite, but there is an easy workaround. I called this amusing as Microsoft owns Skype so you’d think the two would work flawlessly. I can’t close Skype in my typical fashion with Windows 10.
